Chief Business Development (M&A) Executive | Highly Acquisitive |

£180K - £200K Basic + exceptional bonus + shares + great benefits

Hybrid working - 50% travel requirement

STOIX is delighted to be retained by a global, acquisitive and truly purpose-led business to identify its new Chief Business Development (M&A) Executive. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of a dynamic and growing business. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and executing strategic acquisitions that drive significant growth and impact. As a key member of the leadership team, you will have the autonomy to build and lead a high-performing team, while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute acquisition strategy, translating it into actionable plans and milestones.
  • Help build, manage, and develop a small M&A team to deliver on acquisition goals.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis, identifying potential niches, sub-segments, and segments for the sector.
  • Cultivate and manage a robust network of brokers, investment bankers, and other deal sources.
  • Lead financial analysis and transaction structuring, including due diligence and negotiation.
  • Communicate the company’s value proposition effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive the acquisition process from initiation to completion, including post-acquisition integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deal execution.
  • Contribute to the overall M&A strategy and best practices across the organization.

Ideal Candidate

  • Degree qualified in related area of study; MBA desirable.
  • Significant experience in investment banking, private equity, M&A or corporate development.
  • Proven track record in leading successful M&A transactions.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Experience in the industrial goods sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience across a broad range of deal structures.
