As Chief Executive you will be:
- Strategist – able to translate business plans and goals into clearly defined strategies that excite your small team to deliver, with clear measures of success which will engage the current and future member population.
- Influencer – translate strategy into action to raise profile, encourage discussion, incite change, and deliver advantage. You will have access to highly influential groups and individuals and must be confident in challenging them to bring about positive action.
- Engager – create captivating stories to build on the membership proposition and add greater weight to the organisation’s value.
- Enabler – bring meaningful opportunities for established and emerging organisations to meet, exchange expertise and insight, and ultimately create appetite and opportunity to do business together.
- Visionary – build on the outstanding work delivered by the organisation over the decades to create a “must participate” membership organisation that is considered a “no brainer” for existing and emerging businesses to join.
As Chief Executive you must demonstrate high levels of commercial acumen with experience in managing at least 7 figure P & Ls. You must have the necessary presence and gravitas to build followership from your team, your current and future members, and external stakeholders. You will position the organisation where it belongs –as the authoritative voice championing and speaking for businesses in the region and delivering best practice, expert advice, and commercial opportunity to a broad stakeholder community.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both the private and public sector and demonstrate a pedigree in delivering growth and profitability. You must be based within Cambridgeshire and be ready to work across the whole county to ensure this influential role is delivered with maximum impact – without a doubt this role will challenge you, but will deliver much in terms of reward, job satisfaction and the opportunity in time to say, “look what we did”!
