London (Hybrid circa 2 days/week in the office)
£160-£260,000/annum + Bonus + LTIP
Commercial Finance Director or CFO with experience in a publicly listed environment
A commercially minded CFO, with a business partnering focus, is sought to create value at an expanding, purpose driven AIM-listed professional services group. The Group provides multiple technology and data services with a digital transformation focus.
The CFO will:
- Will work closely with the CEO and Board to drive long term shareholder value creation by developing and implementing the medium to long term strategy.
- Deliver purpose outcomes that positively impact people, places and the planet, in a commercially sustainable way.
- Actively support the Group businesses to mature their financial and commercial understanding and improve core financial performance (revenue, GM and EBITDA).
- Develop and execute a strategy for effective engagement with analysts and investors to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities for the CFO include:
- Supporting the CEO to co-develop strategies (3 - 5 years) to improve business performance.
- Successfully managing M&A (acquisition & disposal) activities.
- Establishing and delivering the Group planning and budgeting process.
- Leading and developing the Finance function to ensure compliance with financial reporting and tax regulations.
- Proactively managing, coaching and improving commercial performance across the Group.
The CFO will also:
- Ensure that changes across the business units are co-ordinated and that improvement plans are in place and executed.
- Attend the Audit and Risk committee, ESG committee, and RemCo/NomCo committee as an Executive Board member.
- Contribute to improving employee engagement scores and developing appropriate incentive structures and models.
- Provide support and direction to maintain balance between purpose and commercial focus.
Suitable candidates for the CFO position will:
- Be a qualified accountant with experience of leading finance functions in service-based, people-centric organisations.
- Have experience of leading a Group structure within a listed company environment.
- Be able to plan, communicate and run a Group-wide team and positively influence the matrix of key stakeholders.
- Be adept at taking a shareholder value creation lens to performance improvement.
- Have a proven track record of successfully implementing business/financial transformation and enterprise-wide change initiatives.
- Be an established CFO or someone looking for their first number 1 role.
