Chief Engineer / Principal Engineer / Chief Software Engineer £140-£160k base salary Extremely Lucrative Stock Options (six figures) Hybrid Working with 1-2 days in London and 3-4 days WFH (remote working) Investment Technology Solutions ️ System Architecture, Java Engineering Background, Staff Engineer/Principal Engineer We are looking for a Principal Engineer / Chief Engineer to join and Investment Solutions company based in Central London. You will oversee a team of Software Engineers & Architects and work very closely with their CTO, delivering technology solutions for their customers and clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the business and have a genuine impact on the direction of their company. You will be the first Principal Architect / Principal Engineer to join their business and will be heavily involved with technical strategy, leadership, engineering practices and system architecture. You must have experience working as a Principal Architect or Principal Engineer and have proven experience of designing system architecture. Solid experience of senior technology leadership roles, for example, Lead Solutions Architect, Senior Principal Engineer, Senior Staff Engineer etc. Strong knowledge and experience of building high throughput, low latency, mission-critical systems. A track record of successfully introducing effective software engineering practices and technologies into an organisation. Strong knowledge of Java OO Language, service-orientated architecture, enterprise messaging solutions and relational database design.
