Job Description
Directorbank are currently out to market for a Chief Technical Officer on behalf of our client based in the Southwest of England. Our client focuses on niche Engineered products for a wide variety of end markets, serving a global customer base.
Role
The business is looking to appoint a highly strategic CTO who will be responsible for managing a technology budget, making investments to align the company with its vision for its technological needs and will have a proven track record of leading teams of engineers across NPD and R&D across multiple sites.
Person
We are looking for a strategic and innovative thinker with wide-ranging industry knowledge with an eye towards the future, who is an effective communicator, an expert in technological development with a track record in successfully managing R&D teams, product development and innovation to drive business growth.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have:
An Initial degree in engineering or related field, further academic or business qualification
10+ years working in a commercial, industrial technological role including at least 5 years of managerial experience
Advanced technical skillset and a demonstrated history with managing R&D and bringing NPD to market
Knowledge of advanced materials including Metal, Composite and Plastic based engineered solutions.
Exceptional team management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to delegate efficiently
Reward
£120 – 140k depending on experience. In addition, a car allowance, bonus and LTiP scheme will be available.
