Children’s Social Worker
WorkwithYork are working with our York based public sector client to recruit a qualified Children’s Social Worker, to work with children and young people with disabilities and their families.
This is a temporary full time assignment, initially for three months, with flexible hybrid working.
You’ll be part of a supportive team and when office based you’ll work from offices in central York and/or at a children’s residential settting in a York suburb.
This role involves:
- an allocated social work caseload of child in need, safegaurding and cases
- PLO Family and Deprivation of Liberty Proceedings.
- assessments
- and reviewing plans within a signs of safety and signs of wellbeingframework
- case recording systems (ideally Mosaic)
You will:
- a Social Work Qualification: CQSW, Dip. SW, CSS or equivalent
- SWE registered
- experience with working with child in need, and safeguarding cases, and with children with disabilities
- resilient, compassionate and hard working with good communications skills
- at least two years post qualification experience
- eligible to work in the UK
- a current valid DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake an online enhanced DBS check
- a valid UK driving license
