Infrastructure Engineer - Midlands

TH Recruit is exclusively working with one of the UK’s largest privately owned Property Development Companies as they recruit for a Infrastructure Engineer to join their Midlands based region located in Derbyshire.

This position has become available due to continued success and growth. The opportunity will offer some flexibility/remote working from home or site but will be predominantly office based. The person they appoint will be responsible for the management of projects from initial concept/feasibility stage to detailed design.

You will review and commission design work, challenge fees, consultant programmes, review and technically appraise design information, and explore potential new site opportunities.

Typical duties include:

1. Issuing of technical information to site and consultants.
2. Organising tender briefs for external consultants.
3. Managing/controlling consultancy project fees.
4. Advising external consultants on initial layout design/site constraints.
5. Appointing topographical and utility surveys.
6. Reviewing all technical plans for submission to relevant authorities.
7. Vetting designs for commercial compliance.
8. Assisting Land and Development teams with site feasibility appraisals.
9. Addressing site construction issues.
10. Supporting the team in discharging planning conditions.
11. Coordinating site Utilities packages, obtaining quotes and diversions.
12. Managing legal agreements with Solicitors.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must demonstrate effective communication and relationship-building skills, contractor management, and cost and program review abilities. Capability to visit sites and ensure infrastructure construction compliance and quality.
