Commercial/Civil Litigation Solicitor
North East
Think Legal are working with a small regional North East firm who are looking to hire an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join their team in central Sunderland.
The firm totals 42 staff members and the litigation team consists of 3 other Solicitors.
This role can be a succession planning role as it comes off the back of a senior lawyer who is looking to retire in spring of 2024.
There is an existing client base and workload and the right person will need to have the experience to pick up an existing caseload.
The work is a mix of general civil litigation including boundary, neighbour disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, contentious probate etc and commercial litigation with more of a focus on the civil side.
Ideally the right candidate is likely to have at least 5 years + qualified experience but the firm are open minded if someone has slightly less PQE if they are ambitious and ready to the next step in their career.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to take that next step forward and over time heading up a team.
The firm is a really friendly place with a supportive, family-like environment. Lots of members of staff have young families and the firm recognises the need for flexibility around working hours and have a great flexible hybrid work policy.
Salary is likely to be circa £40k+ but the firm are open to discussion for the right candidate to get them on board.
