Dutypoint produces, sells and distributes pump systems primarily to the construction sector for the provision of solutions such as hot and cold water, water pressure booster sets, waste water management systems and fire safety sprinkler systems.

Role
The primary responsibility for this position is to accurately design and tender bespoke packaged pump systems for the Civils and Construction market. This will involve liaising with customers, suppliers and internal engineering team to create a high level design, detailed costing and proposal to solve the customer’s challenge.
- Previous experience in design, costing and tendering / estimating bespoke systems / projects
- A good understanding of civil / structural engineering
- A good understanding of mechanical engineering and pipework
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with sound technical skills and a willingness to learn
- High attention to detail
- Customer focussed mindset, to provide the best solution commercially and technically for the customer
- Ability to work as part of a team supporting both the operational team and peer group.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience as a CAD Technician / CAD Designer, working on commercial projects
- Competent in the use of Solidworks / AutoCAD
- HNC in Civil Engineering (or similar)
- Able to understand reinforced concrete drawings
- Experience in working with underground structures
- Experienced in steel frame detailing and general fabrication
- Some experience in mechanical engineering, especially pumping stations.
