Job Description

Your Role:

Become a pivotal member of our team at the Defence Infrastructure project team in Glasgow as a Civil/Structural Engineer. Your key responsibilities include:

????️ Identifying project requirements and stakeholder needs.

????️ Providing engineering support and aiding in project optioneering.

????️ Reviewing project documentation and overseeing detailed design activities.

????️ Conducting technical assessments of contractors' work and supervising construction activities.

????️ Specifying and supervising commissioning/decommissioning processes.

????️ Collaborating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

????️ Ensuring compliance with Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality standards.

????️ Contributing to the development and delivery of training.

Qualifications

PROFILE

Essential:

???? HNC in Civil Engineering.

???? Basic health and safety training for site visits.

Desirable:

???? Chartered Engineer (MICE and/or MIStructE) status.

???? Nuclear safety case training.

Experience:

???? Civil/structural engineering expertise.

???? Design and assessment of industrial steel, reinforced concrete, and maritime structures.

???? Knowledge of relevant codes, UK standards and Euro codes 0,1,2,3 and 8

???? Experience across concept design, detailed design, and construction stages.

???? Security clearance required; Sole UK national or ability to gain security clearance.
