Honeycomb is delighted to be recruiting for a Claims Manager to join a rapidly growing Underwriting Agency based in Belfast City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to play pivotal part in the expansion of the business. Candidates with extensive experience in motor claims handling who are seeking progression opportunities may also be considered for this role.

The Company:

The company is a well establish Underwriting Agency who are expanding rapidly, with some of the largest Insurance clients within the industry. They are customer centric team and pride themselves on the first class experience they offer. With recent business growth plans, this business shows no sign of slowing down.

The Role:

This role will be reporting to the Director of Claims, whilst managing a small team of claims handlers. The plan is to build out this team in the very near future. You will be responsible for managing the motor claims function in Northern Ireland, planning and delivering the strategic initiatives and objectives of the company.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Directly handle complex claims cases
  • Identify and monitor any changes in claims environment, evaluate the impact on claims costs and adopt changes to counteract external changes
  • Support and implement claims handling guidelines and provide support to the claims team
  • Weekly and month reporting to Director of Claims, on new significant claims, claims movement and claims losses
  • On site visits with clients, solicitors and wider key stakeholders
  • Collaborating with UK wide claims teams/

Essential Criteria:

To be considered for this role you must have experience in Claims Management or extensive experience in motor claims handling in a senior position.

  • Practical experience of driving performance, prioritising workload and working to deadlines is important in this role.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a pragmatic approach
  • Ability to analyse and present data
