Role: Claims Manager
Location: Manchester (onsite) Salary: Dependent on experience Skills: Claims, Management, Insurance, Liability - Employers, Public, Product, Property An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Claims Manager to join our client in Manchester on a permanent basis. This role requires onsite presence and offers the chance to play a pivotal role in overseeing critical aspects of the company's claims operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing relationships with external suppliers, ensuring the performance of the Claims book, and maintaining a high standard of customer service across all products. The Role Overall responsibility for all claims related activities within the business, including budgets.Oversee performance of the entire Claims book, ensuring accurate reserving, control of indemnity spend, proactive claims management and excellent customer service for each product.
Oversee relationships with external suppliers/TPA arrangements, ensuring performance is consistently meeting expectations.
Regularly assess Claims resource and structure, plan for future requirements and manage Claims related recruitment activity.
Provide clear direction to the Claims Team Leader, ensuring clear objectives
Overall responsibility for ensuring internal and external stakeholders receive required information and reports by agreed deadlines.
Overall responsibility for ensuring Claims Quality Audit, Peer Review and other Claims governance processes are completed, fit for purpose and provide the nessesary information required to continually improve.
Complete appraisals with Team Leader throughout the year and ensure quality feedback and support is provided to support their development, as well as supporting with complex people matters.
Analyse all available Claims data, highlighting issues or emerging risks to the relevant stakeholders, as well as ensuring any appropriate response measures are actioned.
Share knowledge with and support the development of your Leaders at every opportunity. The Person 5+ years Liability claims experience, preferably in insurance

Able to quickly assimilate information and report in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
