Job Description

Client Proposition - Business Support Executive

  • Assist the Business Partner with the tracking of risk & audit issues and other action plans
  • Work with the Business Partner to develop robust procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose (to internal & regulatory standards), documented, understood & embedded
  • Undertake the First Line of Defence (FLOD) testing, ensuring remedial action is taken.Collating the MI from the testing to provide data to the teams on trends and issues. Proactively looking at the trends and taking appropriate action to resolve issues identified
  • Ensure that the FLOD tests remain suitable and effective, and make any changes in line with the agreed process
  • Communicate any risk and compliance changes to the team.

Planning & business improvement

  • Assist with internal functional projects as required and local continuous improvement
  • Work with the Business Partner to ensure all change is delivered & embedded in line with time, quality and cost parameters.
  • Coordinate with relevant areas of the Bank to deliver seamless client service
  • Become a champion of the brand and related standards.
Team admin 
  • Collate, prepare and distribute appropriate briefing materials for key deliverables, ensuring that appropriate follow-up actions are taken
  • Co-ordinate with the Business Support Managers to produce the functional MI and reporting packs for Committee meetings

Person Specification

Knowledge/ Experience

Relevant banking experience / background; preferably within a Commercial Banking team

Strong understanding of the Risk and Compliance environment

Excellent written & spoken communication skills. Ability and confidence to deal effectively and professionally with people across the business

The individual should demonstrate an ability to work in a methodical, logical and accurate fashion. Must be conscientious and diligent in their work to ensure accuracy of data. Must understand importance of and deliver accuracy & perfection

Excellent time management, organisational & administrative skills, ability to work under pressure, responsible, proactive, dedicated and consistently able to achieve results. Remains motivated and confidential at all times

Qualifications

Banking qualifications would be beneficial but not essential
