Central Manchester

Hybrid Working - 2 days in office.

The Company

Our client are a public body established to accelerate public sector investment in low carbon technologies. They are publicly funded by BEIS, DfE, and the Welsh and Scottish Governments and work with public sector bodies throughout the UK, helping them make progress towards achieving their carbon reduction targets.

They do this by offering grants and interest free loans for low carbon and energy efficiency projects. Working with our client, you will learn about low carbon technologies and their application in the built environment, financing of capital projects, government policy and client relationship management.

Role Responsibilities

  • Build strong customer relationships with clients, this will require visits to clients on location.
  • Maintaining accurate client project data through the use of client relationship management systems.
  • Data management and analysis to support reporting to our board and funders.
  • Project management:

-Management of own day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced and busy environment.

-Payment processing and cashflow forecasting.

-Letter generation, drafting and checking legal documentation.

-Prepare written reports and presentations on individual project work.

-Managing and responding to internal/client queries.

  • Support the Communications and PR team to promote the company at events, conferences, and webinars.
  • Assist with wider organisational activities including cross-team working, involvement in workgroups and supporting charity initiatives.

Person Specification

  • Degree or equivalent professionally relevant qualification- bonus if a Geography based or degree relevant to environmentalism and sustainability
  • Customer service or public engagement experience
  • Project management skills
  • Presentation experience
  • Strong IT skills, including all Microsoft Office Programmes with a focus on Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work constructively within a small team
  • Ability to manage, prioritise and deliver a number of projects and work programmes within timescale
  • Close attention to detail, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard
  • Ability to demonstrate and understand equal opportunities
