Clinical Nurse Specialist- HPB and Transplant
London: The London Bridge Hospital
Full time;37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday - Friday

We're looking for a Clinical Nurse specialist in HPB and Transplant to join our CNS Team at the London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.
The HPB and transplant CNS is an integral key member of the multidisciplinary team at LBH. Their role, as expert and specialist specifically relating to patients with HPB conditions and those requiring liver and kidney transplants, is to:
  • Provide specialist nursing advice, support and counselling to patients and families, in-patient and out-patient, throughout their care pathway.
  • Ensure there is a co-ordinated service providing consistently high quality care for patients
  • Be actively involved in education, audit, quality improvement and accreditation as an expert resource and facilitator
  • Be responsible for planning and implementing expert nursing care providing support pre, peri and post the transplant period.
  • Assist and support the development of services provided in line with the strategic objectives of LBH
Rated as 'outstanding' by the CQC, the London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard; the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site; Private Care at Guys, which is on the top four floors of Guys Hospital Cancer Centre; and outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City, Canary Wharf and Kent.
With 160 beds, 22 ICU beds and 10 operating theatres we offer our patients exceptional treatment across a multitude of acute and complex care and have use of the latest technologies and healthcare innovations

What you'll bring:
    NMC registered Nurse
    Extensive experience working at Senior Level or CNS
    HPB experience Essential
    Transplant experience Desirable
    Mentoring /Teaching experience
    Experience in managing complex and difficult emotional situations
    Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to specialty
    Evidence of continuous professional development in clinical area. (i.e. relevant short courses and study days)
    Evidence of Advanced Communication Skills (level 2 course), or willing to complete within the first year of employment.
