Job Description

As such, Direct Medics are working in partnership with a substantial and successful private healthcare organisation to find experienced and dedicated Clinical Psychologists to fulfill permanent vacancies throughout the country. The successful psychologists will provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients and families, at the same time as offering advice and consultation on patients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.

To be considered you must have the following:

• Current HCPC registration as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

• Post-graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS

• Knowledge and understanding of eating disorders and related comorbidities (e.g. anxiety, trauma, depression, self-harm), and the impact these on both children and adolescents, and their families.

• We will also consider applicants from newly qualified psychologists, or from those who are about to qualify (please clearly state in the application when you will receive HCPC registration).

• Prior experience in eating disorders is desirable but not essential for this position. Experience working with patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder, neurodivergence, trauma and personality disorders is also desirable.
