The Role
Are you passionate about technology and problem-solving? Do you have experience in infrastructure, networking, SOC, virtualization, or IT support roles? If so, we are looking for talented engineers to join our dynamic team! We have multiple opportunities for specialists in Infrastructure, Network, SOC, Virtualization, 2nd Line, and 3rd Line support based out of our Stoke on Trent office.
Role Responsibilities
Cloud Engineering : Designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), automating workflows, ensuring cost optimization, and maintaining cloud security best practices.
Infrastructure Engineering : Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Network Engineering : Installing, configuring, and managing networking hardware and software, as well as troubleshooting network issues and optimising performance.
Security Operations Centre (SOC) Engineering : Monitoring and responding to security incidents, performing vulnerability assessments, and implementing cybersecurity best practices.
Virtualization Engineering : Managing and optimising virtual environments, including VMware, Hyper-V, or other cloud-based systems.
2nd Line Support : Providing advanced technical support to resolve escalated issues, managing tickets, and collaborating with other teams for complex troubleshooting. Lead and 24/7 roles available.
3rd Line Support : Offering deep technical expertise to solve high-level incidents, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing permanent fixes.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: Infrastructure, Networking, SOC, Virtualization, or IT Support (2nd/3rd Line).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with relevant technologies such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Linux, or security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, VMware Certified Professional, or similar are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
UKSV is required for this position. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with a view to obtaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as required.
To be eligible for UKSV you must be a UK National and/or have been a UK Resident for 5+ years.
