The Role
We are looking for a Cloud S olution Architect to join our team and play a key part in our mission, which will include delivering Tribal’s ambitious new vision to become an EdTech as a Service provider .
You will work remotely and will engage with our Head of Cloud Solution Architecture , the business, and customers to understand business drivers, assess application portfolios, review customer architecture in readiness for migration to the Triba l cloud , a ssist in the design of reliable and cost-effective Cloud solution s.
The role involves leading on the cloud solution impl ementation for customers and running cloud readiness workshops with customers leading to a proposal for migration from on-premises to the Tribal cloud . This will involve close working with the customer team to determine the most effective way to link our cloud deployed application into the customer’s infrastructure and application landscape.
Role Scope and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the customer and internal teams to devise a solution design to meet a particular customer’s requirements
- Provide technical analysis of customers technical requirements and document the outcomes.
- Assess and identify current information management systems from customer`s and develop implementati on plan for migration the Tribal SaaS service.
- Contribution and development of Cloud Implementation Design Template, including the standardisation of documents and patterns/models.
- Working closely with Head of Cloud Solution Architecture and wider business to design and implement solution designs for customers.
- Provide designs against best practice and support the implementation and optimisation of secure Tribal applications on the AWS and Azure Cloud platforms.
The Person
- Ability to explain concepts and technologies effectively and constructively in a way which is easily understood by others.
- Ability to work with customers to establish requirements and design broad solution architectures.
- Experience of designing and deploying solutions onto AWS and Azure Public Cloud platforms ( Multi-Cloud )
- Experience of system integration methodologies and multi-tier architectures
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and principals to non-technical audiences.
- Experience of web technologies including IIS, Apache and Tomcat.
- Experience of database technologies including SQL Server and Oracle databases is an advantage.
- Proven experience and sound understanding of SaaS, business continuity processes and any other ‘in the cloud’ technologies.
