Job Description My client based in Gourock is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist. You will set and operate CNC Lathes (programme when required), ensuring all components are produced to customer drawing specifications and are produced safely and efficiently39 hours per week Monday - Thursday, 8.00am - 5.00pm & Friday, 8.00am - 1.00pm. Overtime is available.Key responsibilitieso Accurately creating programs when required using mainly Fanuc or Haas controlso Undertake any off-set or program changes as required, to ensure component complianceo Ensure machine routings and processes are running at optimum efficiencieso Ensure all components in production are accompanied by the appropriate documentation at all times and ensuring this documentation is kept up to dateo Liaise with Team Leader and or MSS to ensure work is completed on time, highlighting any issues that may arise at the earliest opportunityo Ensure the work area is kept tidy and organised at all times and general housekeeping maintained to comply with the company`s Health & Safety policieso Ensure accurate daily recording of labour hours through Internal Operating Bookings System & other appropriate documentationo Support, train and advise other employees when required to ensure all operations are carried out efficiently and accurately to customer specificationso Any other duties the company requires to be carried out.Experience/Qualificationso Good spoken and written communication skills and ability to follow instructionso Able to understand machinery instructionso Efficiency - able to work quickly and efficiently, without supervisiono Problem solving - able to react quickly and solve minor problems o Record keeping - able to complete accurate production recordso Team Playero Self-Motivatedo Time Served Turner (or similar experience)o Must have a good understanding of engineering drawings and ability to work to tight toleranceso Setting and operating CNC Vertical Borer`s Experience (preferred not essential)Benefits Include:o 22 days holiday plus 8 bank holidayso Flexible Working Optionso 10% off on Gym and Leisure Passo Sick Pay Schemeo Cycle to Work Schemeo Opportunities for overtime but not essentialo Early finish on a Fridayo Your family Matters - We offer our employees a pension plan and death in service scheme
