A highly regarded, specialist provider of precision machined parts & components to the Aerospace, Defence and Automotive industry are expanding and looking for CNC Machinists, working in their CNC Milling department as a Programmer Setter Operator.

Job Profile

This position entails the Programming and setup of 3 & 4 Axis CNC Milling machines, and to prepare materials/ tooling for upcoming tasks. Utilising engineering blueprints, the role focuses on machining precise components for clients within the Aerospace, Defence and Automotive sectors.

Duties:

Programme set and operate Milling machines in line with engineering drawings Efficiently transition machine settings between different tasks within designated timeframes. Using Heidenhain controls to programme the 3 axis Mikron & 4 axis Bridgeport Mills Utilise micrometres, verniers, and other inspection tools to verify work accuracy against blueprint specifications. Ensure production meets desired quantities and standards through in-process inspections. Address technical inquiries when necessary. Provide support to colleagues as needed to maintain operational efficiency. Adhere to quality protocols and company processes. Maintain punctuality. Promptly report any issues to Unit Manager or Supervisor. Comply with company health and safety regulations and complete requisite training. Skills & Attributes:

Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or related field. Must have experience programming 3 & 4 axis Milling machines ideally with Heidenhain controls Knowledge of offline programming in AlphaCam would be beneficial but not essential 3-5 years' experience in a CNC Machining role. Proficiency in using various measuring equipment. Strong mathematical and technical aptitude. Experience in systematic problem-solving. Proactive team player. Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt and learn. Exceptional attention to detail. Effective time management skills to meet deadlines. Hours of Work:
