Job Description
A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a CNC Setter/ Operator and Programmer for a permanent contract on behalf of our client based in Aylesford, Kent.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling and fixtures.
Program CNC machines using CAM software to generate toolpaths and optimize machining processes.
Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to quality standards and production requirements.
Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as needed to ensure smooth production flow.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve overall efficiency.
Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, including tooling setups, program revisions, and production logs.
Requirements :
Experience of 3 or 5 axis VMC machining.
Siemens and Heidenheim controls would be ideal.
Experience of CAM software Powermill preferred.
Practical skills and experience with hand tools and machinery such as a Band saw.
Familiarity with engineering drawings.
Understanding of inspection measuring equipment.
Hours :
Monday to Friday
7am to 3pm OR 8am to 4pm
Overtimes available.
