Job Description
- Provide legal advice to clients on a wide range of commercial matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and other legal documents tailored to the client's needs.
- Assist with the resolution of disputes concerning commercial contracts.
- Support the wider team as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Liaise with professionals and other operatives in both the client's business and externally.
- Keeping up to date with all relevant legal, legislative, regulatory and industry developments relevant to the legal specialism, informing and updating the team, and providing proactive updates to facilitate the client's operational activities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Commercial solicitor should have:
- A recognised legal qualification and current practicing certificate.
- Proven experience in a similar role obtained either in-house or via private practice.
- Excellent knowledge of commercial law and contract drafting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- The ability to work well under pressure and manage a varied workload.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
