Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Commercial Financial Analyst - Foodservice

LOCATION: Leicester

REPORTS TO: Financial Controller - Foodservice

ABOUT THE ROLE

Dole Foodservice is a distribution business supplying fresh produce and other complimentary products to pubs, restaurants, hotels, education facilities, contract caterers, hospitals, and care homes across the UK through a network of 12 branches.

The role is to provide commercial support, to report and analyse performance that maximises business opportunities

to deliver the divisional strategic plan. The centralisation and automation of data from core sources using appropriate

modelling and consolidation tools are key. The ability to build relationships with key business stakeholders is fundamental.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Sales Director & Procurement Manager with commercial information and analysis
  • Develop and produce regular periodic sales and margin reporting across a matrix structure
  • Analysing performance and trends in sales and margin across branches, national contracts, and independent business
  • Develop and produce performance statistics for field-based Sales Reps and National Account Managers
  • Support the Sales Director in the development of commission scheme proposals for Sales Reps and Telesales teams
  • Calculate periodic sales commission payments
  • Financial evaluation of new business bids and tenders
  • Develop reporting to support the new UK Procurement Manager
  • Analysing performance and trends in procurement, both centralised and locally owned
  • Identification of risks and opportunities to the divisional strategic plan
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a similar role providing analysis and insight to key business stakeholders
  • Working within a faced paced environment, FMCG or food industry ideally
  • Proficient in working with large amounts of data across multiple systems
  • Top notch Microsoft Excel skills, VBA desirable
  • Working knowledge of BI reporting tools

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum part qualified accounting qualification
