About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join us here at Bark and play a crucial role in the next stage of Bark’s growth. As we continue to scale our commercial finance department becomes more important than ever.

Reporting to our Head of Commercial Finance you’ll be working with various stakeholders, including: General Managers, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations and use your analytical and stakeholder management skills to provide insights that enable data-driven decision making across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with General Managers and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Insights) to develop a holistic view of the business and support key decision-making activities.

  • Take a leading role in the annual budget & rolling / quarterly forecast process.

-Build and maintain a robust forecast model.

- Liaise directly with GMs, Marketing and Sales to understand business drivers and develop assumptions.

- Present the output to the leadership team.

- In medium term lead implementation of a new forecasting tool.

  • Support weekly trading reporting process. Maintain and constantly improve trading dashboards to track financial and operational performance, perform trading analysis and provide insights.
  • Build financial models and analysis on various business cases and ad-hoc projects, and provide recommendations to the leadership team (LTV, segmentation ect).
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations to develop reporting and tracking of sales and CS KPIs. Support development of holistic commission structure. Lead the project on a revised discounting policy.

  • Build partnerships with regional managers of ROW countries, support them with trading analysis and any ad hoc projects.

  • Support OKR governance process by developing a framework for reporting and tracking KRs.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Significant relevant experience working in Commercial Finance or FP&A function. Experience in high-growth tech / consulting / private equity / banking.

  • 2:1 degree in STEM, Finance, or Economics.

  • Experience partnering with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership.

  • Advanced financial modelling skills.

  • Excellent Excel/Google sheets, PowerPoint/Google slides skills.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-growing environment, comfortable with ambiguity and able to strike a balance between speed and accuracy

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and structured way.

Desirable Skills
  • Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or/and MBA

  • Tableau and data querying skills (experience with SQL or/and Big query). Google Apps Script/Python

  • Experience in forecasting tool implementation
