Commercial Manager, Corporate Solutions

CIX is seeking a Commercial Manager to be based in London to join our Corporate Solutions team, focusing on expanding our suite of off-screen and on-screen solutions with multinational clients. In this client-facing role, the Commercial Manager is accountable for developing, contracting, and supporting new business that leads to the attainment of annual revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction targets.

To excel in this role, the successful candidate will be fluent in corporate ESG commitments and claims and understand how the is utilized by climate action leaders. The candidate will have previously sold carbon credits to a broad network of corporate sustainability practitioners that can be approached. The Commercial Manager will co-develop and negotiate compelling proposals for new and existing business that fully leverage the range of CIX solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow and maintain a sufficiently robust pipeline of multi-sector opportunities with multinational companies’ sustainability practitioners, so that annual targets can be met.
  • Interrogate company ESG commitments and environmental footprints to formulate potential collaboration angles, estimate opportunity sizes, and prioritize opportunities.
  • Co-develop direct email and thought leadership campaigns that lead to discussions where pain points are revealed, trust is built, and willingness to reengage are secured.
  • Collaborate with CIX peers to devise pragmatic win-win proposals that are designed to meet client needs while maximizing impact and reaching annual revenue targets.
  • Coordinate the implementation of successful end-to-end user experiences including post-purchase strategic support that lead to attaining customer satisfaction targets.
  • Grow and nurture a suite of client stakeholders that become advocates and long-time repeat purchasers, leading to attaining customer retention and wallet share targets.

Requirements 

  • At least two years of relevant B2B business development experience in a corporate sustainability or carbon role.
  • Broad and diverse network of corporate sustainability practitioners & civil society actors.
  • Fluency in CRM tools to streamline the sales process and nurture client relationships.
  • Consultative approach to revealing client pain points and pathways to resolution.
  • Proven capability to curate multi-year win-win commercial solutions across sectors.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and risk-related information to any audience.
  • Regimented approach to managing time, priorities, and quality outcomes and experiences.
  • Candidates with advanced fluency in French and/or German are preferred as the role requires communication with French- or German-speaking counterparts.
