Job Description
As a Commercial Partner, you will be joining our small but busy Commercial team. You will report to the Head of Commercial and will be responsible for preparing contract documents whilst providing commercial support and advice for the preparation of bids, tenders, contractual agreements, and clarification issues in accordance with statutory and internal requirements.
In terms of location, our office is in Bath and we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Please note that travel to customer sites or to attend meetings in Bristol will be required.
About you
The main responsibilities of the role will include:
- Providing commercial support and advice to Project Managers & Bid Managers;
- Preparation and assisting with negotiation of contractual documents;
- Compiling, and submitting tenders and commercial responses to Clients to the required standard and deadline.
- Reading, checking, amending and, assisting with negotiating contract terms and conditions with Clients and Subcontractors.
- Ensuring the Company is protecting, exploiting and acting correctly in relation to Intellectual Property and export control and other statutory and legal matters;
- Assisting with ensuring that relevant management information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Driving continual improvement in our commercial processes.
For this role, we are looking for someone who has a Law Degree with some commercial experience ideally within the Defence sector.
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who have the passion and drive to make the role a success.
You will have the interpersonal skills to engage with customers and stakeholders, both remotely and face to face.
You will have the ability to work well with a cross functional team, taking responsibility to meet goals and deliver to schedule. Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
