The opportunity
My client is an international interactive entertainment company looking to appoint a Commercial & Privacy Counsel to join their open, communicative and friendly legal team.
In this newly created role, you will have a dual reporting line into the Senior Commercial Counsel & Senior Data Privacy Counsel, giving good exposure across multiple areas.
You will be responsible for a broad range of commercial and data protection work. This will include:
- Game specific publishing and development agreements.
- Licensing of various kinds of IP and content.
- Marketing/User Acquisition related agreements (including buy side ad tech agreements).
- Advertising monetisation agreements.
- Content creation agreements.
- Consumer facing terms and conditions and policies.
About you
This opportunity will suit a someone who is looking to join a fast-paced and dynamic international business and will be ideal for an experienced mid-level commercial and privacy lawyer with an interest in interactive entertainment.
The ideal candidate will have between 2-6 years PQE.
The role will require:
- Strong commercial contracts experience.
- Previous experience of working on data protection matters.
- Ability to provide positive support and guidance to more junior members of the team, when required.
- Previous in-house roles and professional experience in the games industry is desirable but not essential.
You will be professional but relaxed with a collaborative approach and enjoy being part of a team.
This role has a requirement to be in the office 3 days per week.
