Job Description

Our client is a high profile, award-winning full-service firm, with an impressive client base in its core sectors focused around IP, such as technology, life sciences, and major brands.

The firm’s Real Estate team undertakes a full range of commercial property work for owners and occupiers of business space, as well as clients investing in, developing or financing real estate. They hold long term relationships with clients, and gain a thorough understanding of their needs, so as to be able to offer them innovative and commercially tailored advice and support.

The range of work encompasses advice on everything from buying, selling, financing, leasing and managing real estate. They are regularly called on to advise on corporate headquarter deals, portfolio management and reorganisations and commercial leasing issues, and also work with many international companies and lawyers on the real estate aspects of inward investment and UK business start-ups. In addition to standalone real estate work, the team regularly support the firm’s wider transactional group in connection with corporate restructuring, acquisitions and disposals.

Despite being smaller in terms of size than many City competitors, the firm’s Real Estate team has maintained its position by the exceptional quality of their lawyers and the depth of legal expertise available to clients.

The firm is now looking for a junior real estate lawyer, who will be capable with supervision of handling their own caseload encompassing the full gamut of commercial property work.

In order to be considered for a role at this very sought-after firm, you will have:

  • Training and probably 1-2 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial property work gained from a City, international, or strong regional law firm;
  • An excellent academic background and genuine interest in the wider Property sector;
  • A down-to-earth approach and team-player attitude;
  • An understanding of the importance of nurturing client relationships; and
  • Commerciality and the ability to work in a potentially fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a property lawyer to join a very high-quality firm, which is unique in having fostered a very collaborative culture with no billing targets.
