Our client is looking to offer the exciting opportunity for a junior Solicitor to join their well-established Commercial team in their Reading office. The team act for a wide variety of clients on high quality and interesting matters, providing the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and commercial skillset.

The role will involve advising on a broad range of commercial contracts. This will include matters relating to commercial trading agreements, IT contracts, franchising, outsourcing agreements, IP, data protection and manufacturing. You will also be expected to draft and negotiate contracts of all sizes and values, with the encouragement to act as an extension of their client’s in-house legal teams.
To be considered for this role, you will have 1-5 years’ PQE with good grounding in commercial law and the ability to demonstrate a genuine interest in this practice. You will be confident in drafting and negotiating contracts with the ambition to develop your skillset even further. For example, carrying out legal research, guiding clients through commercial challenges, developing client relationships, and ensuring that solutions are delivered in line with the clients aims. It is also important that the successful candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills and is willing to get involved and assist with practices and sector development.
