Our client is seeking to recruit experienced Commercial Solicitors who would be interested in the opportunity of joining their Commercial and Technology team in Guildford.

Within this role, the team work on commercial and technology related law matters, as well as focussing on business development and marketing. In addition to this, you are expected to supervise and delegate tasks to junior lawyers and assist with administration functions within the department. The main responsibilities consist of maintaining a personal case load with minimal supervision and assisting other fee earners with their caseloads. The workload is non-litigative in nature.

To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 4 years’ PQE with experience in Commercial and Technology law. Having the ability to handle a wide range of commercial and technology agreements is essential. You will have worked with SMEs regarding drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements. Experience in IT, software licensing, and outsourcing agreements would also be preferable, as would familiarity with both Intellectual Property and GDPR. Taking a pro-active and enthusiastic approach with the ability to understand the client’s business as well as their motivations is key.
