You will be underwriting general commercial accounts - mainly renewals, but offering your support on new business quotations as your role develops - working with a unique and close panel of supporting broker offices across the UK. Premiums ranging from SME through to circa £40k.

Your responsibilities :
- Renewal underwriting for an allocation of accounts
- Support the new business process, and as you gain more experience, potential to become a focal point
- Manage day to day underwriting queries, ensuring a high quality service to the supporting broker offices
- Engage with risk management initiatives where appropriate.
Essential Skills :
- A minimum of 2 years Commercial underwriting experience - whether with an insurer, and MGA, or under a Delegated Authority
- Cert CII is hugely desirable
- Strong communication skills, as much of this is about positive attitude and endeavour
- Strong attention to detail, to ensure high standards of underwriting are maintained
