Position: Commissioning Engineer

Location: Chorley (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewing project technical documentation and contractual requirements.
  2. Defining commissioning work packages and preparing relevant procedures with the assistance of discipline engineers.
  3. Supervising commissioning field activities and ensuring safe execution through work permit procedures.
  4. Coordinating activities of vendor representatives and subcontractors.
  5. Conducting on-site testing equipment, implementing test procedures, diagnosing and repairing faults, and providing technical support.
  6. Writing reports and documentation, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  7. Training maintenance and operative staff.
  8. Working unsociable hours around project deadlines and traveling to remote or difficult-to-access sites as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical Physics, or Process Technology.
Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance, test, or service role within the Oil and Gas and/or petrochemical industry.
Knowledge of flow metering, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, valves, blowers, sampling systems, analyzers, Flow Computers, E&I wiring, and control panels.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel worldwide (potentially 50% of the time after 2/3 years).
Commercial awareness, fluency in English, and strong presentation skills.
