Job Description

An exciting new position has arisen for a Communications and Partnerships Officer at Ewhurst Park near Basingstoke in Hampshire. The successful candidate will help develop and implement Ewhurst Park's internal and external communications, as well as implement critical deliverables in our partnerships with external stakeholders.

Ewhurst Park is a 925-acre rural estate which has embarked on an estate-wide biodiversity and sustainability project with the goal of restoring the land for nature, growing healthy and ethically produced organic food. We aim to inspire people to reconnect with the land, nature, and sources of food through community outreach, organised education and hospitality events held on the estate.

Areas of responsibility:

  • You will act as the Communications and Partnerships Officer working closely with the whole of our team
  • Acting as the Ewhurst Park brand (toolkit) guardian and managing the collation of our media assets
  • Maintaining and implementing a communications calendar & strategy
  • Developing key messages and building relationships with key messengers across earned, owned, and paid media
  • Management of ownership and delivery of content to our social media platforms, including events, blogs, and updates
  • Responding to comments and feedback received on social media accounts and interacting with posts that tag Ewhurst Park
  • Producing and disseminating resources for local and national supporters of Ewhurst Park including press releases, social toolkits etc.
  • Managing our website and ensuring content relevant, accurate and up-to-date
  • Coordinating our Partnerships with corporate and charitable organisations
  • Leading stakeholder engagement with our broader contact base, volunteers, affiliated schools and local community groups, producing and publishing newsletters
  • Coordinate communications for our events and work closely with our team on event delivery.
  • Working on a thought leadership platform we are developing that focuses on biodiversity, food and farming that can help to set the agenda, identify solutions and shape policy domestically and internationally

Your experience:

We're looking for someone passionate about environmental action and prepared to hit the ground running. A minimum experience of two years of working in comms or PR is required. As a growing organisation with an evolving structure you will be required to be adaptable, willing to use your initiative in a start-up environment and be proactive.

You will have worked in campaign comms or have transferable skills from PR or B2C marketing and experience in email marketing, paid social/response ads, and direct mail.
