Purpose

  • Reporting to and working alongside the Head of Internal & Partner Communications, working in the communications and media department, under the overall leadership of the Director of Communications.
  • To support the Internal Communications function with the objective of excellent colleague engagement.
  • To support the storytelling of our commercial partners to attract and retain sponsors for the team.
  • Clear focus on active, positive storytelling and securing earned media in key markets (US, UK, EU, MENA)
  • Occasional support of Formula One events as an active member of the Communications team, managing media requests and programmes.
  • Supporting the communications department with creating, delivering, and writing best-in-class brand/creative communications/media content in all forms for the brand’s audience and fan base, in media releases, and on external digital, social and mainstream media.
  • Providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the of the communications department, including the management of an internal communications & partner communications calendar/tracker and other operational support as required.
  • To actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructors’ Championship and delivering media value to our commercial partners.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of communications planning that align to the overall objectives of Aston Martin Aramco and the Communications department.
  • Proactively contribute to the internal communications to our colleagues with a direct responsibility for copywriting for internal newsletters and regular communications channels including email, Intranet and Yammer.
  • Managing the internal communications calendar of events ensuring clear and timely communication for our colleagues.
  • Assist the Head of Internal & Partner Communications with the storytelling of our partners including renewals and new partner announcements.
  • Working closely with the partnerships account team on a calendar of activations which can be amplified for earned media coverage in target media.
  • Develop partners’ key messaging with the marketing team.
  • Collaborate on technology storytelling utilising our spokespeople to support positive narratives for Aston Martin Aramco and our technology partners.
  • Produce and manage media briefings for key spokespeople on key partner, sustainability, and responsible business narratives.
  • Manage the partner communications tracker.
  • Support with the department’s financial admin, including raising purchase orders and budget planning in conjunction with other members of the department.
  • Attend and proactively participate in meetings as required.
  • Work proactively, responsibly, and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to you job role.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Previous experience of internal communications, partnership communications or the sports industry is desirable.
  • Possess a solid working knowledge of a busy communications team.
  • Possess a good understanding of storytelling and the mainstream media agenda.
  • Solid ability with the written word, and the experience of writing/editing content that stays true to a brand’s messaging guidelines and is right first time.
  • Be available to travel as and when required to fulfil the requirements of the role in which employed.
  • Be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.
  • Possession of natural creative flair, with enthusiasm and motivation for moving from concept to execution.
  • Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues.
  • To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
  • A willingness and desire to listen, learn and collaborate.
  • Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills.
  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety.
  • Full drivers’ licence.

Location

The role will be based at the AMR Technology Campus at Silverstone however there will be a requirement to travel as and when requested to meet the requirements of the Company.
