Hours:  35 hours per week with some flexibility for the right candidate Location:  Bristol office and remote About us Together for Short Lives is the national charity that is here to make sure the UK’s 99,000 seriously ill children and their families can make the most of every moment they have together – whether that’s for years, months or only hours. This is an exciting time to join us as we launch our new strategy. Our brand is starting on a new journey that has huge potential in terms of reaching the growing numbers of families caring for a seriously ill child. The role We are looking for a Communications Officer to join our team, with experience across a wide range of communications – brand, web and social media, information production, media and PR, marketing and awareness. You will provide communications and information support for campaigns across income generation, awareness raising, family and professional support and public affairs. The role reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager for Programmes and Service Development and Public Affairs, with a dotted line to the Marketing and Communications Manager for Fundraising. You will support them in identifying and delivering case studies that tell our story from a range of service users and stakeholders working closely with our support hub team. You will also work with the Digital Team to embed and manage our new digital asset management system ResourceSpace, as well as manage our media monitoring and evaluations service, producing monthly reports. You will generate content for campaigns and will develop and market information and resources to a wide range of audiences, ensuring content fits with brand guidelines, tone of voice, key messages, and information standards. The role also supports our Creative Content Lead in the production of multimedia assets, photoshoots in partnership with families, children’s hospices, and children’s palliative care services, including writing up photography briefs.
