Job Description

This role is based in the UK on a homeworking contract or based in our London office. Christian Aid is currently trialing a hybrid working model and you will be required to attend the office for a minimum of 2 days per week with the option to work remotely for the remaining 3 days per week.

The salary quoted is for remote working, but if based in our London office, the salary will be £37,333.

About the role


The Community and Events Fundraising Officer will contribute to the development, production and management of fundraising projects to encourage churches to give, act and pray for Christian Aid. This includes working on church appeals such as our Christmas and Harvest appeals.


Using your expertise in community fundraising and marketing, as well as your knowledge of Church audiences, you will provide unparalleled support to aid Christian Aid's fundraising at a local level. You will plan and deliver projects like our key fundraising moments and emergency appeals, and supporting new community fundraising innovations and challenge events. You will also work to deliver the community fundraising elements of these iconic appeals, writing engaging resources and marketing and guiding these through the production process


About you


You will have knowledge and experience of successful community/ church fundraising campaigns. You are a strong copy writer, a team player able to work cross-organisationally and to think strategically about how to engage our Church audiences.
