The important bits…

  • Job Title: Community Development Manager
  • Location: Caerphilly Region / Home-Based (Hybrid working)
  • Salary: £35,379 per annum
  • Hours: 35 hours per week, Mon to Fri (Flexible and agile working) + flexibility to work an occasional evening or weekend (on average once per month)
  • Duration: 12-month Fixed Term Contract until the end of June 2025
  • Annual Leave: 30 days per annum + 8 bank holidays + 2 gifted days (40 days in total)

Your mission as the Community Development Manager:

Lead a Dedicated Team: Manage two Community Development Officers.

Drive Community Development: Implement sustainable solutions to enhance community well-being, ensuring activities are customer-led and co-produced.

Collaborate and Innovate: Work with internal teams and external partners to improve service delivery and expand community projects.

Maximise Funding Impact: Secure income from contracts and grants to support initiatives and effectively use Community Benefits.

Empower Residents: Develop and empower community members, helping them overcome barriers to involvement, volunteering, and employment.

What you will bring

  • Demonstrable experience in customer involvement in social housing.
  • Strong experience in managing a team of colleagues and volunteers.
  • Knowledge and a strong understanding of the social housing sector in Wales.
  • Knowledge and an understanding of User user-centred service Design would be highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to access funding and deliver externally funded programmes.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring health and safety.
  • You must hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
