Our client, a prestigious US law firm, is seeking a 2-4 PQE Competition Associate to join their London team on a permanent basis.

Their Competition and Antitrust Practice Group is well known for handling some of the most significant competition cases globally.

Role Overview:

You will be a part of our client's market-leading Competition and Antitrust team. You will work on high-profile mergers and acquisitions, providing expert advice on competition issues related to complex, high-value transactions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Collaborating closely with the team on government reviews of mergers and acquisitions. You will provide expert advice on competition issues, assist in cartel investigations, and defend cartel prosecutions.
  • Litigation: Working with the team’s class action and appellate litigation teams to tackle major litigation before the CAT/High Court. This includes representing clients in private antitrust litigation in both the US and Europe.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Proactively analysing potential antitrust issues and engaging with regulators to efficiently secure approval for complex transactions. You will assist clients in obtaining clearance for transactions across various industries.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a 2-4PQE qualified solicitor in England and Wales with experience with specialisation in EU and UK merger control, antitrust, and competition litigation. Experience with handling antitrust litigation in U.S. federal and state courts is advantageous.
