Location: STOCKPORT Type: Permanent Salary: £45,000 Per Annum COMPLIANCE MANAGER ( GLOBAL IMPORT AND DISTRIBUTION MANUFACTURING COMPANY)£45K MANCHESTER Our client is global importer and distributor of homeware to the multiple high street retailers in the UK and globally are looking to recruit an experienced COMPLIANCE MANAGER to join their team based in head offices Manchester. The successful candidate will have the below relevant experience and come from an import/ distribution global supply chain business. Purpose of the role Analyse the business compliance methods and insure that all operations are in compliance with all local, state and federal labour laws, as well as the laws that govern business practices. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for reviewing responses to official inquiries and correspondence with government agencies to ensure that they are complete and proper. Duties • Working with all managers to establish SOP's across the business and then using IS9001 to police and manage it• Modern Slavery Act Compliance;• GDPR Compliance • Packaging usage reporting • Ensuring that managers and employers across the business actually conform to the regulatory compliances through education awareness and training (this means improving the current systemised compliance system so that it actually works)• Vendor/ mill compliance • Support and advice on Product, safety standards and compliance • Technical support for hospitality as required but not sales, and• Other projects of a similar nature i.e. perpetual inventory count for retail Business Compliance• GDPR Training & Compliance• Legal Documentation Support• Understanding of Data transferring for international business helping us safeguard etc.SKILLS • Proven experience in quality control or corporate policy auditing• ISO 9001 experience preferred• Advanced computer database and Microsoft Office software skills• Strong understanding of current regulations affecting manufacturing companies• Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping• Excellent communication skills Qualifications and Professional Accreditations Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field is desirable Global import / export supply chain manufacturing • Business Compliance• GDPR Training & Compliance• Legal Documentation Support• Understanding of Data transferring for international business helping us safeguard etc.
