This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious educator to take on a role with Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR), contributing to the continuous improvement of our high-achieving school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons in Computer Science to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Developing and implementing a dynamic and inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Leading and managing a team of colleagues, promoting best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback to support their academic development.
  • Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to drive initiatives that enhance the Computer Science department.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching Computer Science at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement.
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and examination board requirements for Computer Science.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing or coordinating a team.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational trends and technologies.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to teaching and learning.

Desirable:

  • Experience in leading a department or holding a position of responsibility within a school.
  • Additional qualifications or professional development in educational leadership or technology integration.
