Job Description

Habitats & Heritage is seeking a part-time Conservation & Interpretation Officer to help deliver an exciting new project around the Burton Mausoleum. This is an exciting role with will help to secure the future of a Grade II* listed building and play a key role in increasing the number of people participating in local heritage. The Conservation & Interpretation Officer will oversee the conservation and re-opening of the mausoleum, establish a maintenance programme and deliver a research project. The postholder will have an understanding of historic built conservation practices and experience of working with contractors. They will work alongside the Outreach & Education Officer to create interpretation materials on-site and on-line. Responsibilities include working with stakeholders to deliver events, enhancing conservation skills, managing volunteers and project management.

Hours: 21 hours per week (Fixed term contract 3 days per week, 18-months)

Reports to: Burton Project Manager

Location: Home / office hybrid. Expected 1-2 days in the office or on site. Our office is located in the ETNA Community Centre, 13 Rosslyn Road, TW1 2AR.

Interviews: Friday 7th June

Start Date: Wednesday 12 th June (or as close as possible)
