Job Title: Content Marketing Specialist (Pensions and Investment)Contract Type: Permanent Location: Edinburgh, Alderley Edge or London Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based Closing date: 1st September 2024 A newly created position has become available for a Content Marketing Specialist, with experience of pensions and investments-related content marketing planning and delivery, to help us build out our investment content strategy and deliver our content plans to support the overall Brand & Marketing strategy and delivery of our trading objectives. They’ll be responsible for creating compelling content in a variety of formats and media, working with other marketing teams to deploy that content, and measuring content effectiveness. They’ll also work closely with other areas of the business, including Royal London Asset Management, to repurpose and reuse relevant content. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in content marketing, preferably within the financial services industry. About the role Plan, develop and deliver investment content in support of the overall marketing plan, using the most appropriate formats and media. Make sure content activity supports the delivery of new business targets and other key strategic objectives, including building the Royal London brand. Day-to-day responsibility for always-on content planning and delivery, including identifying relevant themes for our adviser, customer, and employer audiences. Use data and insight to continuously test, learn and optimise content. Work on cross-functional projects to deliver content to support major campaigns and initiatives. Identify and deploy key internal specialists and external suppliers (including creative agencies and freelancers) needed to support specific content activity and manage these relationships through to successful delivery. Work with other business areas to identify opportunities and turn these into compelling messages and content. About you Excellent writing/editing skills – ideally experience in a similar role or a journalistic background. Experience in creating content for a variety of different formats and different audiences, including both promotional and thought leadership content. Good knowledge of pensions and investments, and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and engaging content. Good understanding of FCA regulations as they apply to content. Excellent planning and organisational skills. Strong stakeholder management experience. A motivated self-starter, who can work independently and is able to hit the ground running.
