Job Description

Regional, well-respected law firm looking to recruit an experienced Contentious Procurement Solicitor into their team.

The position is based within a Legal 500 ranked law firm that can offer excellent training learning from a leading individual in the Manchester market, a benefits package that includes private health insurance, flexible working opportunities (1 to 2 days from the office) and 25 days annual leave, with the opportunity for this to rise to 30.

As a Contentious Procurement Solicitor, you will be working across your own caseload of Procurement matters as well as conducting day-to-day duties including:

  • Drafting and reviewing tender documentation
  • Advising clients and contractors on risks and complex procurement matters
  • Inviting contracting authorities to rerun tender processes when flaws are identified
  • Working on pre-action requestions
  • Judicial review proceedings
  • Supporting Procurement Litigators
  • Drafting relevant legal documentation

The successful candidate will ideally have 3-9 years PQE within Procurement law, is ambitious in their long-term career goals, can work well under pressure and is confident in their own ability.
