The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for Contracts Management, building client relationships and delivering successful projects to programme.

We are focused on delivering a high-quality product and the job holder will be required to ensure that all installation work carried out by the company reaches the highest standards of quality and safety.

Suitable applicants will have worked in a Mechanical Contracts role previously. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of delivering Mechanical projects (building services, plumbing, pipework, HVAC) such as schools, education, care homes, industrial, retail, commercial, hospitals, and other public service organisations.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the projects from start up to delivery including but not limited to, managing engineers and sub-contractors on site, liaising with our own project manager and site delivery teams and final commissioning and handover of the projects on time and to a high standard.


Requirements:

You will have 3 years minimum experience of being a Mechanical Contracts Manager in the residential or commercial sectors.

You must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices.

Ability to manage budgets and control costs.

Full UK driving license.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload.

Good IT Skills

Capacity to work independently.

Demonstrate strong customer orientation skills.

Can deliver high quality work with excellent attention to detail.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal with good presentation and interpersonal skills.

To be flexible and work as part of a team.

Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Must be ‘hands on’ with a can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, implement and deliver projects according to programme, budget and expectations.

Know the Scope of Works/Specifications in detail.

Manage overall project delivery from inception to practical completion.

Sub-contractor management

Ensure that forward planning is adopted through the cycle of the project.

Co-ordinate mechanical / electrical interface together with sub-contract suppliers.

Monitor project budgets and control costs effectively.

Produce and maintain various project trackers on a weekly basis.

Produce and issue weekly internal project report to line manager.

Overall H&S is monitored and kept to the highest standards, reporting any issues that arise.

Review sub-contractor applications for payment.

Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones and mitigate risks.

Supervise and manage H&S on site to ensure safety.

Oversee all onsite installations and ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.

Ensure contractual conditions of performances are met.

Oversee and manage on site Quality Assurance & Quality Control checks.

Regularly attend meetings as required.

Feeding back and implementing “lessons learnt.”
