Job Description:


Seeking a highly skilled Contracts Director to join their dynamic team. As a Contracts Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts, including terms and conditions, with clients and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect workmanship, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, motivating them to achieve project objectives and deliver exceptional results.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring open communication and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present project reports, updates, and financial forecasts to senior management.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Contracts Director or similar role within the construction industry, preferably in bespoke joinery and fit-outs.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project management principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) are desirable.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK, as required.
