Job Description
We are currently working in partnership with a local authority who are looking for a permanent Contracts Lawyer to join their busy team. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and they are looking for someone to attend office a minimum of once per week in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within Contracts & Procurement Law, and will have specific experience within a Local Government setting. Handling a range of complex contracts and agreements on behalf of the Council, ensuring sound legal advice is provided on significant projects Advising on procurement matters, commercial contracts and subsidy control, and drafting high value contracts Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and policies, whilst providing advice on public procurement regulations and tendering processes Negotiating and drafting all types of commercial legal agreements including possible procurement and high-level, complex contact matters Contracts & Procurement Law Local Authority experience Monday – Friday, 9.
