Job Description

Arc Partnership isa joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council and SCAPE, formed in2016 to support the council in creating an efficient, safe and sustainable landand property portfolio.

We deliver multi-disciplinary services and consult, design, build, manage andmaintain on behalf of the council and the communities and people it represents.We provide value for money, quality of output, and customer excellence tosupport regeneration and economic growth, for Nottinghamshire and beyond.

We believe in creatingmeaningful change, and since 2016, we’ve been a strategic partner forNottinghamshire County Council. 

We’re looking for a Contracts Manager  to join our Construction ServicesTeam, and create a real impact by being the on-site lead for the safe andprofitable delivery of Construction Services projects for Arc Partnership. Youwill manage and coordinate projects from start through to completion, ensuringthat work is completed to time, quality and within budget.

All our projects arebased within the Nottinghamshire area, so your need to travel is limited towithin the region.

Your new role:

  • Ensure effective safeand profitable project delivery, while satisfying client and customer servicedemands at all times.
  • W ork with the Head ofDelivery and the Operations Manager to develop a supply chain which is fit forpurpose.
  • Maximise thepotential of Arc Construction Services in meeting the needs of the clients andcustomers it serves.
  • E nsure that deliveryteams work to and comply with all Arc Commercial Procedures and other StandingOrders
  • Manage and overseeingthe direction of the project, ensuring that the design and requirements aremet, reviewing progress, and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs.
  • Oversee d ay to day management ofoperations on-site, ensuring that the project is brought to a successfulcompletion and meets the programme, budget and quality constraints.
  • Plan and efficientlyorganise the site set up and logistics.
  • Effectively communicatewith the Design Team to ensure the timely release of design information.
  • Coordinate themanagement of sub-contractor activities.
  • Ensure workmanship andmaterial standards are achieved in accordance with specifications, buildingregulations, health and safety legislation as well as quality standards.

  • Provenexperience of managing a project from start through to completion, ensuringthat work is completed to time, quality and within budget.
  • Demonstrableexperience of associated commercial processes for a project, includingforecasting, change control, influencing to achieve value for money, and safeprofitable delivery outcomes
  • Broaddemonstrable knowledge of NEC forms of contract
  • You’llhave a basic understanding of sustainability in the workplace, and be committedto support the business with its carbon reduction strategy
