We are currently partnering with a London based local authority, who are recruiting for a Contracts Lawyer on an initial five-six month locum basis.This is a full time position which requires staff onsite a minimum of once per month and is offering a negotiable hourly rate dependent on experience.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Assisting the Senior Contracts Lawyer with the increased workload as they deal with the work arising from the Procurement ActProviding legal advice to client teams across the council on a diverse range of procurement, contract and governance mattersSupporting on various projects including: collaborative procurement, joint ventures, council owned companies, frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems and construction projectsExperience required:Experience working for a local authoritySkills, knowledge and expertise required:Contracts and procurement lawConstruction contracts (including JCT)Working hours:35 hours per week Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
