Job Title: Control Systems Manager & Principal Controls Engineer
Location: Northamptonshire, UK
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering efforts for automotive or motorsport systems/components within an OEM, Tier 1 supplier, engineering consultancy, or motorsport team.
- Manage, schedule, budget, and allocate resources for significant engineering tasks or projects.
- Act as a Senior Authorised Person/Person in Charge for up to 800V systems.
- Develop code for applications such as Battery Management Systems (BMS), charging systems, vehicle control, etc., at a senior level.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in high-level software packages such as Matlab/Simulink.
- Expertise in programming languages including model-based code generation, Python, C, C++, C#, etc.
- Proficient in producing and verifying engineering documents, models, calibrations, reports, etc.
- Expertise in software debugging using tools such as CANalyser, CANape, etc.
- Familiarity with the Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) process.
- Proficient in applying structured problem-solving approaches and analytical tools such as 8D and Ishikawa.
- Expertise in the application/selection of relevant engineering analytical techniques, manufacturing processes, materials specifications, and standard parts.
- Proficient in identifying applicable regulatory requirements and standards to ensure designs meet compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Self-confidence, customer focus, and adaptability are essential traits for success in this role.
