Controls Engineer - Automotive / Power Electronics / Machine Control / DCDC- Global Automotive Company - 100,000+ Employees
I'm currently on the lookout for an experienced Controls Engineer for a leading automotive company.
You will be working for a global leading automotive company that has over 100,000 employees, with solid plans to double the engineering teams to around 200 over the next five years.
In brief, in this role you will be developing elegant and efficient solutions, analysing control systems design and modelling to drive subsystem components, develop control algorithms for power electronics, and plan, conduct and review testing of new software.
This is a full-time permanent position based in the Birmingham area, with some remote and on-site working each week. Due to the nature of the work, you'll be required to live a commutable distance from site and flexibility is dependant on current work tasks for the day. Therefore, this is some hybrid work but mainly on-site as it depends on the work at the time.
For this Controls Engineer position, I'm interested in speaking to people with the following:
- Experience developing control algorithms for electric machines
- Experience developing control algorithms for power electronics such as high voltage inverters and DCDC converters
- Experience in a simulation and development environment preferred
- Experience in a similar control systems engineering role
